22-year-old Forest Park man was sentenced to 18 ½ years
August 20, 2007

Press Release For Immediate Release August 17, 2007

(HAMILTON, OH) - Darryn Pringle, a 22-year-old Forest Park man, was sentenced today to 18 ½ years incarceration and found to be a sexual predator. Pringle was convicted by a jury on May 31 of Rape (F1), two counts of Felonious Assault (F2), two counts of Domestic Violence (M1), and one count of Violating a Protection Order (M1).

On January 20, 2007, the defendant brutally assaulted his girlfriend and mother of his 1-yr-old son, leaving the victim with bruises on her face, chest, arms, legs, back, and sides. Then, on January 23, 2007, the defendant came home and woke the victim up in the middle of the night, where during a 5 hour ordeal, he threatened her with a knife, cutting and punching her. The ordeal escalated into the rape of the victim.

Prosecutor Piper stated, “We as a society must take a strong stance against violence upon women. Sexual violence, domestic violence, and all other forms of abuse are intolerable. The sentence we sought in this case, sends a strong message - terrorizing, victimizing, and assaulting other people is a quick move to relocation into a state run prison.”

Defendant has no prior felony convictions, but has a history of violence against women.
